Description

Geelong Teachers' College students take pride in the Student Council's dedicated "set of wheels", 1954.
Since opening its doors in 1950, the College had by this time seen 684 student admissions and 469 graduations.
In this years' edition of Kardinia, the Principal ponders whether past students "ever think back fondly, and in appreciation, of the opportunities afforded them in College for increased professional skill, and perhaps what is more important, growth through self-realization? Can they see, through a more mature enlightenment, that their College course is not an end in itself, but rather one phase of a continuous growth process?"
In an equally meditative frame of mind, the editorial muses that, now the year is coming to a close, "many of us realise that we have not done so well as we could have done - the little more cost too much - or so it seemed at the time...Our vacation will provide an opportunity for thought and consideration, a time when we can sit back and view our lives, our aims, our ambitions and reinstate the most worthwhile."
