Title
Operation - museum
Date
1950
Description
In 1950, all specimens from the Geelong Free Library and Museum were decommissioned, and were subsequently acquired by Geelong Teachers' College. Students assisted with the removal of the valuable collection, which was to be used during classes for illustrative purposes. "Even the crocodile was too old and dry to shed crocodile tears as it left its old home", the accompanying article wryly states.
