We can give it, if you will lend it : buy national savings bonds and war savings certificates

Promotional leaflet advertising war savings bonds and certificates. Features a soldier with feet planted on a map of Australia and with a bayonet attached to his rifle in hand chasing and ejecting a foreigh intruder.

War savings certificates were sold during the Second World War by the Commonwealth Government to raise money for the war effort. The certificate could be redeemed on the date of expiry for the purchase amount plus interest.
