An account of the resource
Booklet produced to commemorate the sinking and loss of life on the hospital ship ''Centaur'' and contribute money to a post-graduate nursing scholarship. The ''Centaur'' was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine on 14 May 1943, and of the 332 people on board, only 64 survived. The ''Centaur'' was appropriately marked as a hospital ship and its sinking was regarded as a war atrocity.
