The Mill community theatre project

The Mill Theatre

A collection of photographs, posters, programmes and paraphernalia documenting Deakin University's inaugural theatre company.

Under the artistic direction of James McCaughey, a collective of professional theatre-makers worked with the Geelong community to create original productions and events, often drawing upon the history and culture of Geelong and the Western region of Victoria.

Information about the images has been gleaned from Meredith Rogers' book, "The Mill: Experiments in theatre and community" (2016, forthcoming)
